Eden at Botanica CT and APAM collaborate to strengthen integrated retirement planning solutions

June 24, 2026

Eden at Botanica CT (EABC) has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AIA Pension and Asset Management Sdn Bhd (APAM) to integrate retirement planning with purpose-built senior living, marking a significant step towards supporting Malaysia's evolving ageing population.

The collaboration aims to encourage Malaysians to adopt a more comprehensive approach to retirement by combining structured financial planning with access to an integrated senior living community designed to promote independent, active and healthy ageing.

As Malaysia transitions towards an ageing nation, both organisations believe retirement preparedness should extend beyond financial savings to include healthcare, wellness, community engagement and long-term living arrangements that support quality of life.

Through the partnership, eligible purchasers of residential units at Eden at Botanica CT will receive a developer-sponsored RM25,000 contribution into an APAM Private Retirement Scheme (PRS) fund, together with complimentary personal accident insurance, providing additional financial security during retirement.

Located within the Botanica.CT township in Balik Pulau, Penang, Eden at Botanica CT is expected to be completed in 2027. The development is designed as an integrated senior living community featuring fully furnished residences, licensed nursing services, 24-hour care support, smart assisted-living technology, wellness programmes and future healthcare facilities.

EABC director and MTT Group chairman Datuk Seri Kenny Ong said the collaboration reflects the company's commitment to creating a retirement ecosystem that supports both financial confidence and personal well-being.

"Today's retirees are looking for more than just a place to live. They want a community that enables them to remain independent, socially engaged and well supported throughout every stage of later life. This partnership brings together financial preparedness and quality living in a single solution," he said.

APAM representatives said integrating retirement savings with lifestyle planning encourages Malaysians to begin preparing for retirement earlier while strengthening long-term financial resilience. The initiative also highlights the importance of viewing retirement as a holistic journey encompassing financial security, healthcare and community support.

The partnership demonstrates a shared commitment to promoting sustainable retirement solutions and supporting national efforts to address the opportunities and challenges associated with Malaysia's ageing demographic. By bringing together expertise in financial planning and senior living, both organisations aim to contribute towards building a more resilient and age-friendly retirement ecosystem for future generations.
