PENANG — Eden @ Botanica CT (EABC) marked the closing of the Lunar New Year season in grand fashion with a lively Chap Goh Meh celebration that brought together residents, families, and guests for an evening filled with cultural performances, festive activities, and heartfelt community spirit.
A Day of Cultural Performances
The evening kicked off with the thunderous beats of the Lion Dance, where two magnificent lions weaved through the crowd to the delight of young and old alike. Adding to the festivities, the God of Wealth (财神) made a grand appearance, greeting guests with blessings of abundance and good fortune. One of the most captivating moments of the night was the Face-Changing Performance (童子换脸) — a centuries-old Sichuan art form that left the crowd in complete awe with every lightning-fast mask transformation.
Fun, Games & Good Food
Beyond the performances, guests enjoyed a variety of interactive mini games that brought laughter and friendly competition among residents of all ages. A delightful spread of festive refreshments was also served, keeping the celebratory mood going well into the night and giving everyone yet another reason to linger a little longer.
